Why This Is Different
The Anti-Course

Built by someone who
bids work this week.

Zero theory. 100% field logic.Every framework came from real bids — a $2.6M federal submission and $700K+ in awarded trade work. Nothing borrowed from a textbook.
Not a webinar. A working session. You complete exercises on real bids each module. Module 6 is a live peer review of work in this room. Participation expected.
10 seats. No exceptions.Small enough that the instructor knows your name and your trade before the session starts. Not a 200-person event where you disappear.
Templates you use Monday.Scope checklists, sub quote review, proposal audit — the same tools used on active bids. Take them and adapt them to your shop.
Designed for small shops. If you are the estimator, the PM, and sometimes the guy in the field — this was built for you, not for shops with dedicated preconstruction departments.
Direct feedback on your actual work.Module 6 is a live hot seat. Real bid, real critique. That level of direct engagement is rare and expensive to get elsewhere.
After This Workshop
The Outcomes

Not what you'll learn.
What you'll do differently Monday morning.

01
Triage 2–3× Faster
Know within 20 minutes whether a bid package is worth your next 20 hours — deliberately, not by default.
02
Eliminate the Margin Leak
All five cost components accounted for every time. No more missing burden rate or pricing markup when you mean margin.
03
Stop Scope Disputes Before They Start
Exclusions that hold up in the field. Fewer places for change order fights to start.
04
Price With Confidence, Not Guesswork
Scope gap matrix as a habit. Sub quotes read before they're carried into your number.
05
Understand How Competitors Think
Know what GCs look for when they open your proposal — and what makes them call someone else first.
06
Build a System, Not Tribal Knowledge
Documented logic — checklists, scope language, templates — your shop can run on without it living only in your head.

Is This For You?

✓ This Seat Is Yours If

  • You're a GC or trade sub doing $500K–$10M annually and bidding competitively
  • You've won a job that hurt you financially and you're not sure where the margin went
  • You're estimating from tribal knowledge with no documented system — and you know it
  • You're a PM or foreman moving into estimating and need the fundamentals fast
  • You want to understand how the people pricing against you actually think
  • You want a repeatable system instead of starting from scratch on every bid

— Skip This If

  • ×You want software training or a product demo — this is field logic, not a tool tutorial
  • ×You have never read a set of drawings — there is prerequisite baseline here
  • ×You want a passive webinar — this is hands-on and Module 6 requires real work
  • ×You are looking for a motivational experience — this is operational, not inspirational

The Straight-Talk Guarantee

If you complete the full workshop and cannot identify three concrete changes you will make to how you bid — a template, a process, a pricing decision — ask for your money back. No hoops. This only works if the content delivers, and that is the standard I hold myself to.

Common Questions
Before You Register

Straight answers. No runaround.

Will this help if I'm a trade sub, not a GC?
Yes — and most seat holders in a typical cohort are subs. The curriculum is trade-agnostic. Scope language, exclusion templates, and sub quote review apply directly to steel, framing, mechanical, electrical, and specialty work.
Do I need estimating experience to attend?
Basic construction experience required — you should know what drawings look like and have submitted at least one bid. Not intro-level. Target participant: foreman or PM moving into estimating. Never been on a job site? This is not the right starting point.
What if I can't attend the live session?
The live session is where most of the value is — Module 6 particularly cannot be replicated in a recording. If you cannot commit to the date, hold your seat for the next cohort. The recording is a supplement, not a substitute.
Is the session recorded?
Yes. Private recording link within 24 hours of session end, with 30-day access. For review and reference — not a replacement for attending live.
Is this software training?
No software, no platforms, no demos. Pure estimating logic. The templates in your workbook adapt to whatever software or process your shop already uses.
What if the session date doesn't work once confirmed?
Email arron@gritforge.co before the date is announced and your seat transfers to the next cohort automatically. Once confirmed and within 7 days, seats are non-refundable — but the content guarantee stands regardless.
